Must Watch

Asobi Asobase is what a comedy anime should aim to be. It takes itself seriously. The characters are actual characters with personalities, likes, dislikes, interests and aspirations. The comedy is derived from actually well written adapted jokes from the source material brilliantly acted and animated. The acting is so good it might actually obfuscate the rest. Even minor supporting characters like Fujiwara get such an amazing performance. Uchida Shuu grew up in Australia so she was spot on. The main cast is impeccable, but the performance of Kino Hina as Hanako might be the best performance of a voice actor in the history of animation. Sound design is very good and the OST never feels out of place. Talking about music, the opening is amazing and such a good joke in itself. And the ending is something you will probably never forget until you die.
